Privacy Policy

TransAxis Customer ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and stored when you use the TransAxis Customer mobile application.

By using this application, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Registration & Profile Information

When you sign up or log in, we collect details to verify your identity and manage your profile. This includes your:

  • Full Name – used to personalize your account and bookings
  • Mobile Number – used as your unique identifier and to send OTP verification codes
  • Email Address – used to send transaction receipts and booking confirmations
  • Location details (State, District, Address) – used to pre-fill pickup/delivery logistics details

b) Push Notification Token

When notification permission is granted, a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token is generated and sent to our server. This token is used only to deliver push notifications related to your load booking status, driver updates, and business alerts.

c) Booking & Logistics Data

The app displays shipping and booking data fetched from the TransAxis secure server. The following data is created by you through the app and stored on our server:

  • Load Bookings – details about loads you request or book (origin, destination, weight, cargo type, price, etc.) are saved and tracked
  • Notifications – alerts sent to you are stored and marked as read/unread
  • Profile Settings – your user profile preferences are saved across sessions

No sensitive personal information such as government IDs, financial account numbers, precise real-time background GPS tracking (without permission), camera, microphone, or device contacts data is collected.

2. Permissions Used and Their Purpose

TransAxis Customer requests only the permissions necessary to deliver core features:

🔔 Notification Permission

  • Used to send push notifications for load status updates, dispatch updates, and booking progress.
  • Requested in accordance with operating system prompt guidelines.
  • Denying this permission does not affect any other core booking features.

🌐 Internet Access

  • Required to communicate with the TransAxis server for fetching loads, booking trips, and updating profiles.
  • All network calls utilize secure HTTPS protocols.

3. How We Use the Information

Collected information is used only to:

  • Authenticate your identity and maintain a secure session using mobile OTP verification
  • Display and manage your customer profile details
  • Create, record, and track load bookings submitted through the app
  • Deliver real-time push notifications regarding booking statuses
  • Optimize application performance, fix bugs, and ensure security

4. Data Storage and Security

  • All communication between the app and our server is secured using HTTPS encryption.
  • Data is stored on secure servers located in professional data center environments with appropriate access controls.
  • We do not sell, rent, trade, or misuse user information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share user data with third parties, except:

  • Firebase (Google) – Your FCM device token is shared with Firebase solely to route push notifications to your device. No other personal data is shared with Google through this app.
  • Legal obligations – When required by law or governmental authority.

6. User Control

Users can:

  • Grant or revoke notification permissions via device Settings at any time
  • View and manage their profile details from within the app
  • Log out at any time, which clears local session tokens
  • Uninstall the app at any time

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and operational reasons. Continued use of the app after the updated policy has been published indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
